Need A Bit of Extra Christmas Cash?

There are literally hundreds of ways to earn extra Christmas cash... I now have TWO grand-daughters that I care for, both still in diapers. This means that for me, taking on a part-time job outside the house is not an option. Nor do I want such a strict schedule anymore.

I've often thought about making money on the web, and that is partially why I have this site. However, I am not always able to spend a lot of time on updates and such. So, I have looked for other ways...

The following are some of the ways I use to earn extra money, from pocket change to extra Christmas Cash to a real income. If something interests you, just click on the heading, and you'll be taken to a page that more thoroughly explains the option.

If you are looking for a super fast, super easy way to earn extra Christmas cash, eBay is it. When you first get started, try selling items you already have but no longer want or need. This could be anything from books to clothing, furniture to cars. It only depends on what you want to get rid of!

If you are new to eBay, searching for information can make you crazy. There seem to be a million rules to remember, and a million more things you have to do. However, it is really quite simple. Don't let all the links worry you - selling is easy once you've posted your first auction.

Many of you have been to the coobooks section here on this site. Many of the cookies, brownies and jellies I have listed recipes for, I sell through an eBay store. As a regular income, eBay is getting there, but it has been wonderful for creating extra Christmas cash for years.

It took a while, but after a few months orders did pay for the store, and I have been making a small profit since the middle of last year. Its not yet enough to call it an income, but it is great for pocket change, and wonderful for ridding my home of clutter!

During the late fall months, this is a great bet for generating extra Christmas cash!!

I have been using Watkin's products since I was a kid. Mom always had some of their vanilla around, and was completely sold on some of the body-care products. I started selling for them at Civil War re-enactments over 5 years ago, and branched out into farmer's markets as well.

Since that time, I've come to try and insist on many more of their items than just the vanillas and hand lotions!!

The program, of course, will cost some money to get into, but there are several packages to choose from, and one is sure to fit the budget of just about anyone. They do offer a website package.

If you choose to work the program, the money is pretty easy to make, but just like any other business, it will take some time before you are earning regular commissions. It will be probably a good year before you are earning extra Christmas cash from this method, however once you are earning, you can turn this into a real and substantial income producer.

Now that I no longer do the markets or re-enactments, my income from this is strictly internet based. I would definitely be earning more by being out there in person, however, my priorities and the cost of baby-sitters these days is enough to keep my typing away, lol.

If you have time to invest in doing shows, sales and parties, you can earn more than just simply Christmas cash with Watkins!

GPT stands for "Get Paid To." There are legitimate internet sites that will pay you nicely for completing surveys, taking free trials for products, shopping and a number of other activities.

I earn more than just Christmas cash doing GPT programs. I belong currently to 5 different programs, but I generally work a lot on only two of them. I can clear about $300 a month, more when I have more time to do offers.

These programs pretty much all have the same rules to follow, so once you are familiar with one, the rest change only very minor things. All of them have forums for even more information, and there are lots of fun games and such.

I do have one warning - right up front - these sites can be addictive!!!

I currently just joined my first one of these - the invitation was sent by a member of one of the GPT sites I belong to. These sites are designed to be FUN. And - they are.

You don't earn money very quickly at them, but if you just want to fool around a bit and have some innocent fun, these are for you. For Christmas cash, these sites are too much fun to pass up. Some people do actually make some nice money from them - and it is possible - but I enjoy the games more than I need the money.

The great thing about these sites is that most of them are free also (they are supported by advertising only). Many start you off with "points," and these points may later be redeemed for cash and prizes. There is no up front cash to play.

Most of these sites seem to also have the same offers as on the GPT sites. If you watch, sometimes you can make more cash by doing an offer from a game site rather than a GPT. If I can just remember that I can earn something for the time I spend having fun, this might just be another great way to earn Christmas cash!

Starting a website of your own is not exactly for the faint of heart. It takes some real thought, and a real committment. You need to be completely passionate about whatever it is you choose to make a site on!

BUT - you don't need to be an internet wizard to succeed, nor do you need to shell out tons of money to make a great site. You don't even have to know all those complicated "languages" like HTML, nor "scripts" like CGI.

With your own website, you have your own business. Though this site is about Christmas, my first choice for generating extra Christmas cash would not be to start a website. It can and will produce income if you want it to, however this will take some time, and some real effort.

Some of you are already familiar with building sites from having personal ones. You can easily turn these into income producers - make them not only pay for themselves, but also pay YOU!

The idea with a website is to attempt to keep it fresh, up-to-date and interesting. Provide content that inspires people and gives them new ideas. Monetizing it to earn an income can come after that.

Most free and low-cost sites will not allow you a for-profit income stream. However, there is one place that can make building your site super simple, and is less expensive than most other places. The benefits are endless, and the price is right - in fact - the price is so good that I now own 2 of these sites, and have given another to my husband!!
